I realize that it has been a long time since I've updated the blog-it's just that any free moment (when I'm not catching up on sleep) I spend with Lily. She's amazing. I've seen her change and grow so much during the last 6 weeks. The little girl that was so terrified of the water now splashes in her bath tub-she's not doing the traditional crawl-but she scoots everywhere. Last night she pulled herself up to a standing postition in her crib! All of this with a huge smile on her face! Even when she wakes up in the middle of the night-and she does this quite frequently-she has a smile on her face. It's hard to get upset that she's not sleeping so well when she chortles when she sees you. Sleep is an on again, off again situation. She will go for four nights sleeping from 8pm to 6am and then have a night where she wakes up 2 and 3 times. Last night was one of those nights-wouldn't you know it, I had be in school at 6:30 in the morning for testing. Yes, I'm back to work-it feels awful! The first week was very tough and both Lily and I had to adjust to not seeing each other all day, but thankfully her sitter is a lovely lady. Lily has taken to her so it makes having to be away all day a little easier. I am looking forward to summer vacation so much. It's funny how I can't imagine what it was like without her being home with us (I can imagine the sleeping all night uniterupted).
Last Tuesday was Lily's first birthday-because I've been through this before with my two oldest children-I know how fleeting this time really is. I am enjoying every moment to the fullest.
I'll post pics tonight if she decides she is going to sleep instead of play. If not soon...I promise.

I hope the sleep gets better for you soon. We have been sleeping better. Going back to work is hard but at least you have summers off and spring break is soon!
